Student Success Advisory Pilot

Student Success Advisory Pilot Expanded Learning–Aligned Program

The Student Success Advisory Pilot is a supplemental expanded learning initiative designed to support middle school students beyond the instructional day. The program focuses on life skills development, leadership, decision-making, and social-emotional growth while aligning with district Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) principles. This pilot supplements, and does not duplicate, core academic instruction.

Safe & Supportive Environment – Structured sessions that promote belonging, respect, and student wellbeing.
Active & Engaged Learning – Interactive, discussion-based learning experiences that encourage participation and reflection.
Skill Building – Development of leadership, communication, goal-setting, and real-world readiness skills.
Youth Voice & Leadership – Opportunities for students to contribute ideas, practice leadership, and reflect on decision-making.
Diversity, Access & Equity – Inclusive participation with equitable access guided by site leadership.
Collaborative Partnerships – Delivered in partnership with school sites and Expanded Learning staff.
Continuous Improvement – Feedback collected from students and staff to inform future sessions.
